Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) also known as Tecnológico de Monterrey or simply as TEC, is a private, multi-campus university based in Monterrey, Mexico. Founded in 1943 by leading regional industrialists, ITESM has since grown to include 31 campuses in 25 cities throughout the country.

i Summer MX is a program designed for students who love to travel and learn about new cultures.  Spend four weeks discovering some the most iconic states in Mexico: visit the capital Mexico City, enjoy the colonial city of Querétaro, go to the amazing Guadalajara, walk through historic places at Puebla, and choose to make everlasting memories in beautiful places like Puerto Vallarta and San Miguel de Allende.

About City Academic Program
The i Summer MX program is focused on creating entrepreneurial leaders and provides students with the opportunity to improve their skills as a professional and world citizen through company visits, conferences with local experts, workshops, and trips.

Students can choose from two different course options:
  • Option 1 - Improve Spanish language skills (2 courses)
    • Mexican Identity and Culture: This is a basic humanities course in which students will understand, identify, and analyze aspects of Mexico's culture so that they can assimilate and integrate themselves into the culture.
    • Basic Spanish as a Foreign Language: This language course allows students to develop basic communicative skills in Spanish to improve their performance in social and academic contexts.
  • Option 2 - Advance intercultural communication competencies (2 courses)
    • Mexican Identity and Culture: This is a basic humanities course in which students will understand, identify, and analyze aspects of Mexico's culture so that they can assimilate and integrate themselves into the culture.
    • Intercultural Communication: This course provides an intellectual and experimental forum for developing interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
During the program, students will have the opportunity to live and study on four different campuses.  Each campus will offer special activities and trips that will make the experience unforgettable.

Depending on nationality and length of stay, students accepted to study at ITESM may need to obtain a visa prior to their arrival in Mexico. Since visa rules and regulations change frequently, consult the nearest Mexican embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information.
