The University of Nottingham UK opened its China campus in 2004, establishing a high-ranking university that provides a truly excellent education in the world's most dynamic economy.  Offering the best of both worlds, the University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) provides the opportunity to experience living in China while also taking courses delivered by a leading British university.  UNNC's model encourages students to take a thorough approach to learning and to become independent learners who know how to research, analyze, and present key issues relating to contemporary China.

About City  About Ningbo
UNNC is located in the Zhejiang province on the south shore of Hangzhou Bay, opposite Shanghai.  Ningbo is a rapidly growing city with more than six million people and a history spanning 7,000 years, allowing visitors to embrace both an exciting and culturally stimulating city. Ranked within the top ten cities for businesses in China, Ningbo is a thriving blend of enterprise, culture, education, tradition, and entertainment.  The city itself is a unique mix of modern sky-scrapers and traditional architecture, complimented with stunning parkland and scenic vistas, making it a place for all. Exchange students will find much to explore in Ningbo, including restaurants, temples, theaters, international sports, museums, music events, cultural festivals, and more. In addition, Ningbo's excellent transport links make it an ideal location for travel both within and outside of China.

Academic Programs Academics and Courses
Exchange students can choose from a variety of modules taught at the undergraduate and graduate level. UNNC offers a wide range of subjects, including business management, international communications, international studies, economics, science, and engineering.  All programs are conducted entirely in English with the same teaching and evaluation standards found at the University of Nottingham UK.  are part of the regular academic curriculum, enabling exchange students to study alongside Chinese and other international students.

Exchange students are also encouraged to enroll in Chinese language courses and participate in language-oriented social events.

Housing Housing
Exchange students are typically offered on-campus accommodation in an international residence hall with students from around the world.  All rooms are fully-furnished with shared kitchen facilities located on each floor.  University accommodation is guaranteed for the duration of the exchange program, provided that applications are submitted by the deadline.

Student Visa Student Visa
Depending on nationality and length of stay, exchange students accepted to study at UNNC will typically need to obtain a student visa (X Visa) prior to their arrival in China.  Applications for the X Visa should be submitted to the nearest Chinese embassy/consulate in each student's home country.  Since visa rules and regulations change frequently, consult the nearest Chinese embassy or consulate for the most up-to-date information.
