Academic Programs Academics and Courses
Exchange students can choose from an extensive range of programs at the University of Reading.  A class/unit of study is known as a "module" and typically includes a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, seminars, laboratory work (where appropriate), online components, and independent study.  Many modules will place an emphasis on the student's responsibility to learn "independently" rather than wait to be taught by an instructor.  In addition, much of the curriculum at the  University of Reading incorporates new research and the latest thinking, with academic staff working at the forefront of their fields of expertise.
