This program is no longer accepting applications. Although you missed the opportunity this year, check back in early fall for faculty-led/customized programs occurring next summer.
Program Overview New Program Overview
This faculty-led program will offer students a unique opportunity to study in Lugano, located in the Ticino Canton, which is the Italian-speaking region in southern Switzerland.

Courses associated with the program:

AHST 2331 Understanding Art: Renaissance and Baroque Rome  (3 semester hours)
AHST 2331 Syllabus

SOC 4396 Sociology of Religion: The Vatican (3 semester hours)
SOC 4396 Syllabus

Both courses will conclude with a multi-day excursion to Rome. Students have the option to take both of these courses or one UTD course and a beginning Italian course at Franklin University.* 
*Note: This is the only Franklin course open to UTD students.
