Program Overview New Program Overview
A capstone, experiential and classroom learning opportunity that focuses on strategy development and managing in the global economy. 
By the end of the course students will be able to -
  • Describe various aspects of the commercial environment of the counlty as the result of writing a 30+ page research report (including IMS 6370 topics)
  • Describe differences in strategic planning approaches for national and global businesses based on conversations with company operating managers
  • Describe how U.S. strategy impacts doing business in the local counlty
  • Describe how cultural differences impact corporate strategic directives

Students will enroll in the courses mentioned below -
  • IMS 6371.PW1 - Seminar in International Strategic Management
A capstone, experiential and classroom learning opportunity that focuses on strategy development and managing in the global economy. The course is designed around a study trip to Europe where students study various business topics and principles related to European and global commerce and strategic process. Students attend graduate classes with the local students at an affiliate university and visit and dialog with company officials regarding strategic principles and issues within that country and globally. Students are immersed into the local culture and gain an appreciation for it by staying in the same location for the entire 2 weeks.

  • Member of Executive Education Center MBA or MS with an emphasis in Project Management cohort
  • Completion of Project Management Core courses and OPRE6301, ACCT6201, ACCT6202, and MEC06303.
