The ISS is a four-week program that brings together students and faculty from Korea and around the world. With 50 courses taught by 30 distinguished professors from top universities, the ISS program is designed to deepen students' knowledge and initiate various perspectives on current global issues. Students are able to choose up to three courses in a variety of subject areas, including Business & Management, Economics, Social Science, Mathematics, and Korean Language & Culture.
To complement academic coursework, ISS also offers various extra-curricular activities for students to engage in cross-cultural interactions. Programs and field trips may include the Korean Food Festival, Mud Festival, the Korean Folk Village Experience, and more.
Students have a variety of accommodation options when attending the ISS. These options include the regular SKKU dormitories, Daehangno dormitory and off-campus accommodation. Students who choose the SKKU dormitories will be randomly assigned rooms and roommates.
Depending on nationality and length of stay, students accepted to study at ISS may or may not need to obtain a special visa prior to their arrival in Seoul. Citizens of countries under a visa exemption agreement with the Republic of Korea are able to enter the country without a visa and will receive a 90-day tourist visa upon arrival. Citizens of other countries may be required to obtain a short-term study visa (D-2-8). Since visa rules and regulations change frequently, consult the nearest embassy or consulate of the Republic of Korea for the most up-to-date information.
