About City  About Reading
Reading has UK's best growth. EY's latest report forecasts 2.5% productivity growth in Reading over the next three years.High-speed rail links with London make it quick, easy and affordable for students to take advantage of all that London has to offer, and there are regular rail services to major cities around the UK.

Whether you are a sports fan, love a good comedy club or just want to dance the night away with your mates, Reading will have something to offer you. The town is large enough to boast a range of shops, bars, restaurants and arts and sport venues, but small enough to feel welcoming. It also has fantastic transport links, and you can reach London within half an hour by train.

The town has a proud history of welcoming people from across the globe, and international students often comment on the warm atmosphere and multicultural vibe found here.

Academic Programs Academics and Courses
A feature of modules in UK universities is an emphasis on the student's responsibility to learn 'independently' rather than waiting to be taught. The typical amount of contact hours (hours spent in class) for a degree student in the area of sciences could approximately about 20 to 24 hours, because of the time needed for laboratory work.
For more information, visit the Academic Programs webpage.
