This faculty-led program is designed specifically for UT Dallas pre-med students. The program offers the opportunity for participants to further enhance their preparation for a career in health care, while immersing themselves in a 6-credit one month intensive Medical Spanish and Internship Course in Seville, Spain. Students will live with host families, participate in a variety of weekly activities, visit the historic cities of Córdoba and Granada, receive medical Spanish and EMT pre-hospitalization training, and perform an internship in a hospital environment shadowing doctors of various disciplines.

About City About Seville
Seville is the artistic, cultural, and financial capital of southern Spain. The city is renowned for its warm climate and friendly culture, making it an ideal setting for language learning, cultural integration, and professional development. A stroll through the city's winding cobblestone streets reveals a wide array of bustling sidewalk cafes and tapas bars, spontaneous flamenco performances, and an active nightlife. Internationally known for the grandeur of its Easter Week processions and April Fair, Seville offers a variety of rich cultural experiences set against historical Roman, Muslim, and Jewish influence.
Course Correlation Academics and Courses
Students will take part in medical internships in the mornings, and will attend medical Spanish classes in the afternoons.  This program also includes Emergency Medical Training (EMT) through a 4-day intensive training course.

No previous knowledge of Spanish is required for this program.

UT Dallas students will also have access to cultural activities, such as a welcome dinner of local Spanish foods, a bicycle tour of Seville, a flamenco show, and more.  These activities are designed to introduce you to the city's history and local culture and allow you to meet locals and other international students from around the world.

This program uses a buddy system by placing a minimum of two students per household.  Students will live with Spanish families and will receive full meal plan, WIFI access, and a weekly laundry service.
