Medical Spanish and Internship Program in Seville, Spain
Program Icon Program Overview
 
This UT Dallas faculty-led program offers a unique study abroad opportunity for UT Dallas students to further enhance their preparation for a career in medicine, while immersing themselves in a one month intensive Medical Spanish and Internship Course in Seville, Spain. Students will earn six UTD credits and will live with host families, participate in a variety of weekly activities, visit the historic cities of Córdoba and Granada, receive medical Spanish training and perform 80 hours of work in a local hospital.

Courses associated with the program:

SPAN 2341 Medical Spanish (3 semester hours) 

This course is designed to introduce students to the utilization of the Spanish language in the health care arena. A combination of written and oral exercises will be employed in a workshop atmosphere.

Cristina Gonzalez   Cristina Gonzalez, Program Coordinator will be teaching Span 2341 Medical Spanish to students during the mornings, Mondays-Thursday from 9:00am-11:00am.

About 3   This program uses a buddy system by placing a minimum of two students per household.  Students will live with Spanish families where they will receive full meal plan, wi-fi access and a weekly laundry service.

Developing marketable skills is key to increasing your candidacy for post-graduate studies and your employability. Programs such as this one is designed to help you develop skills quickly and affordably. As a program participant, you will focus on developing and strengthening your Spanish language skills, as well as, setting the building blocks for understanding culture values, self-awareness, and leadership.
