Courses at Sheffield are known as modules. Modules are made up of regularly scheduled class sessions of one or more hours per week during the semester. Depending on the subject area, these may include lectures, seminars, tutorials, and labs. Exchange students will be assessed in the same way as other University of Sheffield students and are expected to attend any examination required as part of the course. A typical workload for a semester will be approximately 30 ECTS credits.
Students studying in Sheffield for the fall semester may choose to finish their courses in December in order to return to UTD in time for the spring semester. Courses may be limited; see an Education Abroad advisor for more details. Review the December Finish Fact Sheet for more information.
Orientation Program: Orientation programs take place at the start of each academic semester, and include loads of events and activities to help you find your way around Sheffield.
