We are excited that you are interested in studying abroad. It is an opportunity that allows for personal growth, a time to develop new insights into other cultures, and an opportunity to enhance your global knowledge. Students should consult with their Academic Advisor regarding their Study Abroad plans as they would want to know when you’re doing a Study Abroad experience and to review where this experience will fit into your degree plans.
Here are some easy steps to take as you begin exploring your options:
- Choose a Location – think about where you would like to spend your time abroad.
- Consider program length – some students are interested in spending one or two semesters abroad, while others are interested in a shorter program. Determine where you stand.
Your "PENDING" profile status will not be changed to "ACCEPTED" until after your program approval. "ACCEPTED" in the Comets Abroad Portal implies that you are accepted to study abroad on behalf of UTD and once the status is changed, you will be able to begin completing/submitting your UTD travel documents.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to come in during walk in advising hours Tuesday – Thursday between the hours of 1-4PM in SSB 3.400.
