JSOM departmental study abroad approval must be obtained through the JSOM Study Abroad office to participate in this exchange program. Complete the online JSOM Approval Form to be considered.

This exchange program is currently only open to students in the Jindal School of Management (JSOM).  If space is available, others may be considered.

Established in 2009, O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a leading research-oriented university in India, renowned for promoting quality higher education in the country. JGU was established in memory of Mr. O.P. Jindal as a philanthropic initiative of Mr. Naveen Jindal, the Founding Chancellor. O.P. Jindal Global University is situated on an 80-acre state-of-the-art residential campus in Sonipat, just 17 miles from Delhi. Formerly named “Swarnaprastha,” which roughly translates to “golden city,” Sonipat’s legacy traces back to around 600 BC. As a bustling city with great historic value, Sonipat offers a range of entertainment activities, including shopping malls, coffee shops, mosques, live music, and historic tombs. Nearby Delhi also boasts countless places of cultural interest and heritage monuments dating back several centuries.

Academic Programs Academics and Courses
Exchange students can choose from a variety of courses taught within the Jindal Global Business School. Courses are offered at both the undergraduate and graduate level and are typically conducted in English. Experiential learning is valued at JGU, and students are engaged in activities that allow them to participate and reflect on their learning. Business case discussions are used extensively, along with lectures, seminars, group projects, presentations, and field research. At JGU, coursework is typically assessed through class participation, written assignments, and mandatory attendance.

Housing Housing
Exchange students are typically housed in on-campus residence halls consisting of furnished, air-conditioned rooms. Shared amenities include a well-equipped gym, sports and recreational facilities, a convenience store, and a laundry facility.

Student Visa Student Visa
Depending on nationality and length of stay, exchange students accepted to study at O.P. Jindal Global University will most likely need to obtain a student visa prior to their arrival in India. Students will also need to undergo a medical examination and obtain a medical fitness certificate. Upon arrival, exchange students must apply for registration with local police for the entire period of their studies. More information about this process will be provided at orientation.
